Old Town Festival 2014 –  Saturday, September 20, 2014   

The Old Town fest drew about 300 people during the morning. It began to rain around noon. Several vendors packed up and left as did most of the crowd.. My husband and son went down to the festival for short periods. I was left with the art sale.  The dance which began about 8pm and last until  1215am was right in front of by house. Curtis and I sat out o the front bench listened to the music, danced and just relaxed. One of our neighbors came over and sat with us, then a gentleman and his young daughter joined us. In the beginning thee was about 10 couples a few singles and 3-4 kids. By 10 pm over 1/2 of that crowd was gone. It  is a shame that not many came out to support our home town festival because the music was actually very good. Mostly country(to my liking) but there were a few songs top 40(at some year)and they played " my brown eyed girl(one of my all time favorite songs).OK time to plan for next year with a goal to double the day crowd and quadruple the night crowd.
